The Indonesian Chapter of Education

The background of the establishment of ICCE is rooted in the longing of Christian educators who joined Christian educational communities to share and exchange their Christian faith, with the aim of refocusing Christian education on the gospel mission in Indonesia. During that time, their teaching services were temporarily halted onsite due to the pandemic, and all activities were conducted online. On December 12, 2020, ICCE was founded with a simple inaugural seminar, carrying the mandate of the gospel for Christian school ministry.

By God's grace alone, Dr. Khoe Yao Tung and his colleagues established the ICCE ministry. This ministry includes webinars, seminars, research forums, and certification programs. Additionally, we provide publications of Christian education books and digital literacy media to equip Christian educators in Indonesia.

About Dr. Khoe Yao Tung, MSc.Ed., M.Ed

Khoe Yao Tung, born in Jakarta, holds an extensive academic background. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from UI (Drs.), a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Ukrida (Ir.), a Master's degree in Management from PPM Jakarta School of Management (MM), a Master's degree in Computer Science from UI, completed at BI, Jakarta (M.Kom), a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Pensacola Christian College, Florida, USA (M.Sc.Ed), a Master of Education (M.Ed) from Southland, Morling College, New South Wales, Australia, a Doctorate in Education (Dr.) from Universitas Negeri Jakarta in 2011, and a Doctorate in Theology from Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Injili Indonesia in 2022 (DTh).He has authored over forty books published by Andi Offset, Elex Media Komputindo, Grasindo, Dinastindo, and Vidya Sastra, covering diverse fields such as Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Management, and Education. Khoe Yao Tung also founded The Indonesian Chapter of Christian Education and serves as a lecturer in the Master of Education Leadership program at Universitas Pelita Harapan. In the past, he was a member of the Expert Team of BSNP - Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan RI (2011-2013) and an Expert of Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan RI in 2015. Additionally, he has been an activist and a former elder church service council member of Gereja Kristus Yesus Citra Garden. He held the position of deputy chairperson of the Christian Education Assembly in the DKI and Bekasi regions from 2007 to 2012. He was also on the advisory board of MPKW Jabodesiten from 2012 to 2017 and served as a board member of Asosiasi Dosen Indonesia from 2022 to 2027.
